3 sustainable trends in the energy sector
According to his experience, the energy sector is increasingly emphasizing renewable energy and low-carbon economic solutions. Celepsa, for example, is a certified company that generates energy from renewable sources.
"Today's trend in the energy sector is oriented toward generating renewable energy and having a positive impact on the environment," explains Carlos Tupac Yupanqui, Celepsa's Deputy Commercial Manager, as the company celebrates its 12th anniversary.
The following are three sustainable energy trends for the energy sector in 2022:
1. Greater environmental concern:
According to Carlos Tupac, there is currently a greater interest in the generation of energy with low carbon emissions and polluting gases. In addition, in developing operations with a broader view of the territory, promoting the conservation of natural ecosystems that support the operation and the rest of the basins' economic activities.
2. Increase in energy production and renewable technology:
These practices are becoming more common in our country, particularly in areas with limited access to electricity. According to the International Energy Agency, solar energy will have the lowest costs and be the most cost-effective source of electricity in 2021. As a result, it is expected that the use of new technologies will continue to increase.
3. Electric power plant diversification:
Diversification of the energy matrix will encourage the integration of non-conventional renewable energies. This will result in the construction of more wind and solar power plants, which will provide clean and sustainable electricity, but the transition will be gradual.
Finally, Celepsa's Deputy Commercial Manager pointed out that "Celepsa's purpose is to accelerate the decarbonization of Peru, so that the country becomes carbon neutral before 2050, so we invite all companies to join this goal, whose only beneficiary will be Peru".
